I fell into poetry the first time I felt words could capture a moment like a snapshot, turning everyday experiences into something you can taste on the tongue of a verse. It started with scribbling rhymes in a notebook during primary school, inspired by the raw energy of street performances and the way poets turned pain or joy into lyrical beats that made the heart skip. The pull grew stronger when I realised poetry lets you shape thoughts into rhythm, letting you speak your truth in layers of metaphor and sound.
